The Course is in 2 parts and follows the a set format that has been established and used by the London Clamping Company (One of the leading enforcement companies in the industry) for many years.

It has been specifically designed to meet the strict requirements of the SIA. A level 2 qualification is achieved on the succesful completion of the course.

The course is completed over 4 days each part is tested using an exam and the course is certified by Edexcel.

Part one

During the first part of the course learners investigate the skills and knowledge necessary to function as a licenced operator. The subject headings are listed below:

• Introduction to wheel clamping operations
• Introduction to the legislation relating to vehicle immobilising (Private Security Industry Act 2001) and the tools used to immobilise a vehicle
• Signs, Lines and enforcement vehicles
• Registration marks
• Health aand Safety
• When to clamp and when to remove vehicles
• Vehicle tow away
• Completing paperwork
• Practical case studies (clamping, removal and paperwork)
• Use of photography
• The payment process
• Procedures for start and end of shift
• Radio operations
• Discretionary parking
• Standards of individual behaviour for vehicle immobilisers and customer care

Part 2

This part of the course is an essential part of any of the Security Qualifications as dealing with the public in potententially stressful situations is a fundemental part of the role.
