This is a Vocational Qualification that can be copleted at levels 2 and 3.

Course Objectives:

The course facilitates the underpinning knowledge, guidance and preparation for practical assessment within the work environment with regards to the safe handling of medicines. To gain certification you will need to demonstrate that you have achieved specific learning outcomes by completeing and assessment and a multiple choice test.

Course Content:

An introduction to medicines in the care setting

Receiving, storing and disposing of medication in the care setting.

Administering medicine in the care setting.
